Eco-Friendly Cafe Au Lait


You’ll find us sipping on our cafe au lait all day every day at the Miellee office. 

Below is a perfect recipe for a warm, cozy, light, creamy, and semi-sweet cafe au lait. 

Enjoy this recipe without any guilt as it is vegetarian, gluten free, vega, plant-based AND dairy free. 



WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1 cup of honey 

1 cup of water

6oz brewed coffee blend

6oz extra creamy oatmilk



WHAT YOU’LL DO

Make the honey syrup by combining honey and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then lower heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes while stirring occasionally. Once the syrup is made, place 2 tbsp of it in a mug. Poor in brewed coffee blend. Foam oat milk and pour into mug.

For those of you who don’t know, animal products including Cow’s Milk require significant resources to be produced as compared to plant-based foods. Dairy production in particular has a considerable effect on climate change due to greenhouse emissions. Anytime you can swap out dairy products for plant based products, do it.
